Our Mission
Simpson Nouvelles is Britain’s only dedicated U23 women’s elite development cycling team. We nurture the next generation of cycling talent from the UK, Australia and New Zealand, providing pathways from junior racing to the pro peloton.
With a relentless drive, a rich legacy, and elite athletes chasing national and international success, we are shaping future champions – on and off the bike.
Talent.
Grit.
Ambition.
Our riders include world and national junior champions and Olympic hopefuls.
Managed by David Walters, who is unique with his two decades of experience with a under-23 focus; plus support from Cycling Legends Media, Simpson Nouvelles combines high performance with a mission: to get the brightest young women to the world stage.
Simpson Nouvelles
Named in honour of Tom Simpson – Britain’s first road race World Champion – our team channels his trailblazing spirit. In 2025, we celebrate 60 years since Simpson’s 1965 triumph, connecting our riders’ ambition to cycling’s rich heritage.
Advocating and supporting the team during their European programme, Joanne, Tom’s daughter, brings a special connection between the present and past.
You too can join our tribe, by joining our supporters club.
We’re driven by history but focused on the future – breaking new ground for women in cycling.
